Without a doubt, your HVAC is the most important system in your home. It is the workhorse of the house, always there to keep the inside cozy and comfortable regardless of the weather outside. Unfortunately, it is also very easy to take for granted.

There could be problems with your HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system) lurking beneath the surface without you even knowing until it’s too late. That’s why you should always be on the lookout for potential signs of trouble:

  • Unusual odors are coming from your vents when the system is turned on
  • Odd and/or loud noises and vibrations
  • Repeated breakdowns and failure
  • Your home is too hot or too cold
  • Heating or air conditioning bills that seem to keep rising for no apparent reason
  • Your furnace is more than 10 years old (depending on your region)

Benefits of New HVAC System

While a new HVAC system can feel like a big decision (and it is!), there are plenty of benefits to consider:

  • Improved energy efficiency
  • Lower utility bills
  • Better home resale value
  • Better operational efficiency
  • Tax incentives
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Better indoor air quality
  • Reduced repairs and maintenance needs
  • Long-term cost savings

A New HVAC System Means Better Technology

With a new HVAC system, you get the bonus of modern technology—features and benefits that are amazing.

For example, there are higher efficiency units that can recognize the heat load demand and either ramp up or down to match that demand, acting like your car’s cruise control. Smart thermostats are also a game-changer. They allow you to control your home's temperature with your smartphone. Improved air filtration is an option for some new HVAC systems as well, helping to keep the air in your home cleaner.

How Much Does a New HVAC System Cost?

Knowing when to replace your HVAC and understanding the cost implications, is an important first step.

For example, a complete HVAC system could cost you more than $30,000*, depending on many factors such as the size and age of your home , local climate, and types of systems you’re replacing. Individual components are expensive too. A gas furnace replacement can cost up to $9,500** installed. And a central air conditioner up to $16,000*** installed. For many, that kind of expenditure can be challenging.

Thankfully, there is a great choice you can make that helps lessen the cost of an HVAC replacement: the New HVAC Program**** from Frontdoor.

How the Process Works

Once you are ready to upgrade, the New HVAC Program makes the whole process – pricing, equipment selection, payment, and installation – a snap. If only everything in life could be this easy!

Follow 5 simple steps:

1

Request a quote

An independent contractor* will provide a free in-home assessment, including a current system inspection and quote for a new HVAC system. Your Pro will present you with options based on your home's specific needs.

2

Equipment selection

You can choose a new system based on the options provided. These include dependable name brands like Lennox, Bryant, Goodman, and GrandAire.

3

Choose payment method

Let us know if you'll use your credit card, or if you’re approved for third-party financing.

4

Equipment shipment

Once equipment availability is confirmed and the required upfront payment is received (or financing is approved), your equipment is ordered and shipped. Shortly after, you will get a call to schedule a date and time for the installation.

5

Replacing your system

Your new system is then installed on the scheduled date. All old equipment will be hauled away and properly disposed of.

*Quotes are only good for 30 days, due to equipment availability and pricing fluctuation. After the 30-day window, you will need to submit a request for a new quote.
