About FrontDoor
General Listing Information
- Where do you get your listing information?
FrontDoor partners with brokers and agents all over the country who submit their listings directly to us.
- Why can't I find a home that I know is for sale currently?
FrontDoor is still in beta, and our listings inventory grows every day. You'll see many more listings on our site as we continue to add brokers and agents as listing partners.
- Why aren't there more listings in my local area?
Because FrontDoor is still in beta, our coverage of some areas is currently stronger than in others. We'll be continually rolling out more listings and locations over the coming months.
- How often are your listings updated?
We update our listings every day. We get our data directly from the brokers, and most send a daily feed update.
- How can I list my home on FrontDoor?
Ask your broker to submit their listings to FrontDoor. We work directly with brokers and agents and do not currently accept individual listings from private parties.
Using FrontDoor
- How do I narrow my search to only see houses that fit my parameters?
You can narrow your search by price, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms and square footage. Simply use the filters to the left of the search results or in the search box in the header. You can also expand your search by removing these filters by clicking the (x) beside each selection.
- How can I save a search?
First, create a free MyFrontDoor account. Then, simply click the "Save This Search" button located near the top of each search results page.
- How can I sign up for a MyFrontDoor account?
To unlock the features of MyFrontDoor, register here and create your account. Then, you'll be able to save, compare and share your searches, individual listings and articles.
- How can I sign up to be notified when a new property comes onto the market?
While saving a search to your MyFrontDoor account, select the check box that says Receive the search as a daily e-mail alert. This will automatically send an e-mail as properties come available on the site.
- How do I use the property map?
The map on a search results page shows the geographic location of a home. Clicking on the red house icons on the map allow you to access a pop-up that briefly gives you information on that property; you may view complete details by clicking "view listing details." The orange bullets throughout the map indicate a grouping of homes in the same area. Moving the map in either direction allows you to view the geographic area. Selecting the box above the map will refresh your search results to what is shown on the new view of the map. You may hide the map by selecting the orange minus button in the top right corner.
